A graduate of the School of Visual Arts, Sophia Antonini was the recipient of the Silas H. Rhodes Merit Scholarship and Rhodes Family Award for Outstanding Achievement in Film/Video.  She graduated with honors earning a BFA in Screenwriting.  Currently, Ms. Antonini is a graduate student at Brooklyn College earning her Masters in Education.  A product of a low-income community growing up, Ms. Antonini believes that each and every child deserves a quality education and an educator who believes in their potential.  She plans to seek out high-need communities that need teachers most, knowing that dedication can make a lasting impact on the culture, the trajectory of the school and, most importantly, the students.
